  • Oriental medical facial diagnosis

  • Overview of microcurrent therapies

  • Vibrational therapy (tuning forks); Facial Soundscapes: Harmonic Renewal™
  • Facial Gym; facial exercises
  • A full topical herbal protocol with jade rollers

Part 2:

Herbal Adjunct Therapies and Essential Oils™ (1 day)*

  • Overview of Western and Chinese herbs, plus practical “folk remedies” for healthy aging
  • Skin syndromes
    • broken capillaries
    • eczema,
    • acne
    • rosacea
    • scars
    • hyperpigmentation
  • Benefits and contraindications of essential oils, according to Chinese medicine principles
  • Custom blending of essential oils for specific skin types

* In this module, participants will make and take home an herbal facial product as well as a custom-blended essential oil for their own skin type.

  • Acupuncturists: modules 1 and 2 (both parts)

Certification 2:

Advanced Constitutional Facial Acupuncture™

Certification #3:

Constitutional Facial Acupuncture Archetypes™
2 Modules, 4-day certification

This innovative certification series examines our constitutional blueprints (archetypes) in conjunction with the 6 stages of the Shang Han Lun, to address basic behavior, personality traits, health tendencies and the quality of Shen in everyone!!

Utilizing information from ancient Chinese texts, participants will learn how to determine their dominant constitution, personal expression, complexion (Shen), archetypal physiognomy, constitutional tendencies to form wrinkles, and their potential for “healthy aging”.

Also included is a mapped-out protocol for each of the 6 zones Taiyang (back), Yangming (front), and Shaoyang (side) – for both face and body, advanced needling techniques, motor points and “ashi” points.  The 3 constitutional levels, Jing (8 Extraordinary meridians), Ying (TCM points) and Wei (ashi points) will also be considered.

Participants will be provided with information regarding contraindications, benefits, intake/release forms, patient pre-screening, and will be introduced to a topical Chinese herbal facial protocol.

The Instructor will demonstrate the entire facial acupuncture protocol, and participants will give and receive treatments under her supervision.

Please note: this is an extremely constitutional approach to the facial landscape, a natural fit for physio-acupuncturists, etc.

Module 1:

Note: module 1 is a pre-requisite for module 2; acupuncturists who have previously completed module 1 may elect to “re-take” this module at a reduced rate or enroll directly in module 2. In general, however, this certification will only be offered in its entirety. There are no other course pre-requisites.

Module 2:

The 3 Yins (2 days)
Open to: acupuncturists, advanced students and M. D. acupuncturists who have previously completed module 1

  • Jueyin
